Partner(s) is a romantic comedy that wryly explores the many ambiguities of the word “partner.” When Dave, an enterprising, is offered the chance to head his law firm’s defense team in a major case, he happily accepts the challenge as this could lead to a partnership. Dave soon realizes that he received this opportunity because the client believes it would be “politically sensitive” in defense of his company that is being sued for alleged gay discrimination, and the client mistakenly thinks that Dave is gay. The truth is that although Dave’s roommate Christopher is gay, Dave is very definitely heterosexual. They are friends, not romantic partners. Driven by ambition and the chance to become a partner in the law firm, Dave decides to go along with the charade.
